If you are going to be drilling a ton of holes or are doing something like building a deck, you may want something with a little bigger battery. The batteries with this tool are 1.3 mah batteries which are very light and really should be fine for most users. If you are plan on using the batteries on something like a cordless router or circular saw, you may want to consider a tool with a larger mah battery. All of the DeWalt 20v batteries are interchangeable so the 1.3 mah will work in any tool. Just keep in mind that all things considered, the mah represents the run time. More mah, more run time.

For about $50-$60 more you can get a combo kit that includes an impact driver. To be honest, I use my impact driver way more than my drill. A drill will drill holes and drive screws and bolts. The impact driver isn’t much good for drilling but is far superior in driving screws and bolts. It’s a real luxury to have both, most would argue it’s a necessity. So there you have it, there is good reason that the DeWalt DCD771C2 drill is a top selling drill kit!
